    Travel essentials

In case you missed my last post, I recently went away to Lisbon and what perfect way to share with you my travel beauty essentials.

This was my first time travelling with only hand luggage, so I had the challenge of only being able to take products that were under 100ml but could not add up to more than 1000ml in total. For someone who has a ‘beauty-craze’ this worried me a little. Even though, I dont tend to wear much make up when I go away, I dont like to skim on my skincare routine.

So I wanted to share with you some of tips and tricks I did to pack everything I needed for my holiday.

So my usual routine consist of the following steps

    Day Routine

    • Facial Wash
    • Cleanser
    • Toner
    • Serum
    • Moisturiser
    • Eye Cream
    • Lip Balm

    Night Routine

    • Make up Balm/Remover/Oil
    • Facial Wash
    • Toner
    • Facial Oil
    • Moisturiser
    • Eye Cream
    • Lip Balm

Would you believe me if I said I was able to take all of this without skipping products? My trick was using travel bottles and pots and combining products that could be used for day and night.

I bought some travel bottles and pots from Boots – which were perfect for my travels. Each bottle/pots are around 30ml or 60ml. I also purchased stack pots – each pot is around 10-15ml. These not only handle the liquids I needed to carry but were lightweight and safe to travel with.

So how did I decide how to separate my products?

I bought my main liquids which were facial wash, cleanser and toner. I chose to take our most loved Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water I used this to not only remove my make up but also as a second cleanse after I washed my face. I place these in the small travel bottles.

For the rest of my creams and serums I placed them all in these stack pots which were so handy – I placed my serum, eye cream, day and night moisturiser.

I also took some facial wipes (for extra measure) as these are not regarded as liquids so glad I did.

    Make up

This was easier than my skincare. Holidays are the only time I strip it back and wear the bare minimum. The last thing you want is a full face of make up on a hot day! (phew!)

    So I only took

    • BB Cream
    • Concealer
    • Mascara
    • Eyebrow pomade and gel

Also a plus – powder products are also not considered as liquids so was able to take my powder, bronzer and blush too.

So here’s how I packed my most needed travel beauty essentials, hopefully a few of these tips will help for your future holidays.

    What are your top tips?
